2023 Mid-Year Inkjet Installation Roundup

Between January and June 2023, we verified 58 press installations at 55 companies. While the trend we had been seeing for press formats was sheet-fed edging out roll-fed, over the first 6 months of 2023 we found a few more roll-fed than sheet-fed presses to report.

April 2023 Inkjet Installation Roundup

We have 19, quite varied, press installs at 19 companies to talk about for April. Companies investing in inkjet include 9 in the United States, 7 in the European Union and 1 each in Australia, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

We are reporting on 15 installations across 14 companies. A number of these companies have been very active in their inkjet acquisitions in the past year.

February 2023 Inkjet Installation Roundup

Our February report covering the tail end of 2022 into 2023, includes 12 presses in the US and 10 in Europe (plus 3 oldies from 2020 and 2021). We are finally seeing web-fed installations on par with sheet-fed after 7 months of reporting a tilt toward sheet-fed.

In January(ish) we are reporting on 15 press installations at 14 companies, down slightly from December. The pendulum has swung back to the US with 9 in the US, 4 in EU and 2 in UK as compared to December where we reported on 17 press installations with 12 of them in Europe and only 3 in US.

The attention for December shifted back to Europe. We are reporting on 17 press installations with 12 of them in Europe as compared to November where 12 of 19 presses were installed in the US.

The fourth quarter momentum is growing. In October we covered 17 press installations at 16 companies and in November 19 presses at 17 companies. The bulk of the activity reported is in the US (12 presses) but also saw four in the EU, two in the UK, and one in Thailand.

I think it was too hot in Europe in August for inkjet users or their OEMs to tell us what was happening. It’s also prime vacation time in a log of locations. All of our new inkjet news last month came out of North America with six installations in the US and one in Canada.
