We stopped by the RISO booth at Printing United in Dallas, and also spent some time with Andre D’Urbano, Director of Corporate Marketing at RISO Inc. to talk about the new Valezus T2100. The new offer replaces the T2 in their portfolio with the same speed (320 A4 pages per minute) and a new inkset which is backward compatible with the T2.
Suitable for monthly volumes of between 750k and 2 million A4 or US letter images per month, the Valezus has a very attractive entry price of around $180k USD with the standard input/output configuration. Maxed out with a capacity feeder/stacker equipped with a jogger mechanism and dedicated cart the device sells for $250k USD.
The Valezus uses oil-based inks, which do not require a heating unit to dry, are priced at around $400 USD per liter for cyan, magenta and Yellow and $340 per liter for black. Note that a liter of oil based ink yields approximately 100,000 images – and energy costs for drying are eliminated. A Tecnau roll feed is also available which can reduce paper costs by as much as 25 percent and streamline operations. See previous coverage.
