Mike Herold, Director Global Marketing, Production Inkjet Technologies at RICOH talks about the cost benefits that inkjet brought to the transaction printing industry over the past decade and the increasing pressure that transaction printers face as inkjet has evolved into new markets. While RICOH has expanded and enhanced their inkjet portfolio to serve the graphic arts market, Herold says that they have also maintained their commitment to serving their core base of customers with continuous advances in inkjet solutions specifically for transaction printers. The transaction print market is evolving and PSPs, in-plant operations and their OEMs need to continually assess customer needs to remain competitive.
