Sheet Decurler

By Inkjet Insight / Published:

A device on some sheetfed printing presses (especially those used in offset lithography) located between the lastimpression cylinder and the delivery pile that works to remove the curl from press sheets. A typical sheet decurler consists of two rollers or semicircular plates over which the press sheet passes. As it passes over the nip of these two rollers (but not through it) a vacuum pulls down on the sheet, eliminating any curling tendencies on the part of the paper.
