Opaque Pigment

By Inkjet Insight / Published:

White pigments used in printing inks that do not let light pass through them, and are used for printing white, or for mixing with other colors to increase opacity or lighten the color. The most opaque white pigment, titanium dioxide, is also called cover white. Other opaque white pigments include zinc sulfide, lithopones, and zinc oxide. Frequently two or more of these pigments are mixed together to obtain the desired results. (See also Transparent Pigment.)
